Job Summary:
Flight Instructor on our Cessna Citation aircraft. This position reports to the
Director of Training.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position and hours of work vary and can included non-standard
business hours, weekends, and holidays. Position is located at RWA headquarters (KRGK) in Bay City, WI.
Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver ground and or simulator training for all pilot training programs

Print, maintain and distribute training material, handouts, documentation for students
-
Present classroom or online instruction for pilots on any Part 135, Part 142, or internal training courses.

Continuously monitor and evaluate programs to determine efficacy; administer performance and written tests in a fair, objective manner as needed

Maintain flight training manuals as it pertains to training; maintain appropriate forms, documents, visual aids and other media to enhance training experience

Complete training records timely and accurately

Maintain familiarity and knowledge of new concepts and innovations, changes in regulations, procedures and improvements concerning the safe operations of training aircraft; maintain full knowledge of all applicable policies, procedures, manuals handbooks and protocol

If instructing in the simulator, must maintain all simulator instructor currency requirements under part 135 or part 142 as appropriate to the course you intend to teach.

If required for maintaining part 142 or part 135 simulator instructor currency, must hold at least a 3rd class medical for the purposes of aircraft operation/currency (if required).

Instructor shall:

Arrive to RWA ready for on-time course start

Adhere to a professional appearance in business casual attire, or uniform if required for part 142 purposes

Set up course materials as needed

Abide by any/all applicable part 61, 91, 135, or part 142 training requirements

Teach the intended curriculums as assigned
-
Respect and treat fairly any individuals in a training course
-
Maintain a 3rd class medical if required for instructor currency requiring operation of the aircraft
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position is not responsible for managing or hiring of other employees.
Qualifications:
-
Obtain and maintain an appropriate aviation medical certificate
-
Must pass a background check in accordance with RWA’s Twelve Five Safety Security Program (TFSSP)
-
Must be enrolled in RWA’s FAA Approved Drug & Alcohol Program
-
ATP certification (or current ATP written & ATP-CTP Certificate of Completion)
-
PIC Type Rating Certification of the CE-500 Aircraft Preferred (not required)
-
Upon hire, must successfully complete RWA initial training
